Hafa Adai Cyclists,

The 2010 GCF event calendar has been posted on the website.  As you will see, we have added some new events.  Most notably, the GCF is planning to stage an international cycling race on November 28.  The event is currently in the planning stages, but our goal is to establish this event as Guam’s signature cycling event. 

The event will be promoted in Guam’s primary tourism markets, with the hope of attracting both serious and recreational off island cycling competitors.  As the event develops we will provide you with periodic updates on the website. 

In its continuing effort to promote the sport of cycling to Guam’s youth, the GCF will be staging a Kid’s Bike Rodeo in June.  Modeled after similar events in the states, the primary goal of this event will be to teach safety and bike handling skills to participating children.  Helmet and bicycle inspections will also be a part of this great family event.
